Patio Homes are great for those who want to simplify their lives. By definition a patio home’s maintenance outside is generally taken care of by an HOA. This might include landscaping, siding, snow removal, etc. depending on what is included by the HOA they are usually low-maintenance homes.
Most of these homes are ranch style and great for the low maintenance lifestyle. They may or may not come with a basement that is or is not finished, look at it as a bonus. I get a lot of retirees looking for just this type of home. While Fort Collins does not designate retirement communities we do have a lot of neighborhoods that contain patio homes where retirees tend to gravitate. Miramont - Located next to Southridge Greens Golf Course – Currently there are 2 homes for sale as this is a very desirable neighborhood with amazing mountain views and a view of the golf course. They are priced from $249,000 to $549,000. HOA fees are $119/month
Village at Four Seasons – This is a great part of town and currently there are 2 homes for sale. Priced from $169,000-$219,000. HOA fees are $108/Month and includes snow removal, landscaping, exterior maintenance and cable.
Ridgewood Hills – Located in Southwest Fort Collins this neighborhood is a great mix for families and the young at heart. HOA fees are $180/month and are priced starting at $189,000.
Storybrook – Currently there is 1 home for sale in this patio home neighborhood. Priced at $209,000 and HOA fees are $115/month
Stonehenge – There is currently 1 home for sale priced at $244,900 and the HOA fees are $95/month
Ptarmigan – A premier golf course community on Ptarmigan Golf Course. Ptarmigan Country Club is a Jack Nicklaus designed private country club. The Ptarmigan golf club was built in 1987 and currently has a membership base of 400 members. The club has a number of amenities including a championship golf course, tennis courts, swimming pool, practice tee and chipping area.
