Fort Collins Was Featured on CBS’s Early Show

The nation got an inside look at New Belgium Brewing Company’s in Fort Collins quality assurance operations this morning as the Fort Collins brewery was featured on CBS News The Early Show.

Jeff Glor, news anchor for the CBS Early Morning Show, filmed a TV segment in Old Town Fort Collins called “I’ve Always Wanted To,” where he selected a job he has always wanted to do. He has two brothers and the first one is off in Australia looking for lizards so he went with his younger brother, Dave Glor, who handles field quality assurance for New Belgium in Fort Collins.

Dave Glor, whose job entails tasks ranging from tasting beer to proper bottle and keg rotation, took his brother around Old Town Fort Collins while crews filmed showing him what his job is like. They went all over the place cruising on their bikes explaining what a great place Fort Collins is and what a great to work in New Belgium Brewery. It should come across as New Belgium putting people out there to care for the beer. They filmed at the New Belgium Brewery, The Sports eXchange, Stuft a Burger Bar and the Town Pump.

The national exposure will be positive for the brewery, bars and Fort Collins as a whole. The show gave viewers an inside look at what goes into ensuring New Belgium’s products are as fresh as possible when they leave the tap and hit the glass. Dave Glor said with New Belgium’s planned expansion on the East Coast with the addition of Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., next September, the show should help introduce more people to New Belgium’s products. A good part of the filming happened at Stuft, 210 S. College Ave.,in Fort Collins on Saturday, where Dave Glor cleaned the tap line and worked in the cooler with his brother.

The national exposure the Early Show will do for Stuft and also for Fort Collins will be tremendous. Such positive exposure is priceless. This piece really shows what Fort Collins is all about as a city, not just New Belgium and Stuft. and you can’t deny what a great city Fort Collins is to live in.
